Focus. That's the word for 2024.
2023's word/phrase was: Catch Up
A year ago this time, the residual of the pandemic and mainly another unplanned external factor threw us into a tailspin. I'm proud of our resilience. The work ethic I was raised with has always helped me. Maybe I'm a "workaholic," as some may think, but I love what I do. Some of you will be glad to know I have prioritized self-care over the last few months and made significant progress on my mental health. The ol' anxiety creeps up on me, but I have the tools to cope and push through.
I say all this to let y'all know I've searched deep and looked into the crystal ball as best I can with this crazy world and where we are headed globally.
I could do many things, but I've never felt more committed to the art of performance. It's what saves me mentally when I hit the stage, what financially keeps us alive, what leads to so many opportunities, and what has led me to meet all of you through the beautiful gift of sharing music.
Our Cliff & Susan Facebook page is where I share our dates and, honestly, where I focus on growing the most. I'm dedicating 2024 to sharing what I'm most passionate about on my FB personal page and LinkedIn page.
My content there will heavily focus on life as an entertainer, sharing tips, tricks, and perspectives. We started our Entertainers Academy a couple of years ago. I encourage those of you who want to pursue a full-time music career focusing on a great live show to DM me, and I can send you info on how to grab some free resources to start.
And because you know I'm an A.I. dork, I'll leave you with this.
The world is about to change drastically. It will be unrecognizable to many in just a few years. No one knows the actual outcome, but there is a lot of speculation. I choose to ignore the dystopian rabbit hole and stay positive.
The arts, specifically the art of performance, is predicted to be one of the most resilient jobs in the face of job replacement due to A.I.
That gives me hope.
